George J. Koutsoukos

Attorney-at-Law at Supreme Court
George J. Koutsoukos is an Attorney-at-Law at Supreme Court with specialization on issues of public-administrative law and labor/social security rights, as well as on issues of immigration law.
He has graduated from the Legal Faculty of Athens University (2003) and he is a holder of a postgraduate title with honor in the Department of Public Law in the Legal Faculty of the Kapodistrian Athens University (2006)
He also received his PhD title from the Public Law Department in the Legal Faculty of Athens University (2014).
In 2006, he had completed successfully his training and was registered as lawyer in the Lawyer's Association Athens (DSA)
He has been a special researcher in the Communal program of Equal, regarding the management of active ageing (2005-2007), a special researcher in the European Program TRESS (“training and networking in the European Co-ordination of systems of social security, 2006-2013) and a national expert in FreSsco European project (2014-2018).
He has also been a researcher for the work of collection of national case law in the field of right of social security on behalf of the European Institute of Social Insurance (Social Security Cases in Europe: National Courts - 2006), as well as a researcher on behalf of the University of Ghent (2005) in the frames of the program Special for the matter of unemployment (Social Security in Europe - Yves Yorens-Prof. Law Faculty Ghent University, John Ditch Prof. Northumbria University (United Kingdom).
He participates from 2004 in teams of work for the pensions, the prohibition of discriminations and the immigration right on behalf of the international network Ius Laboris (www.iuslaboris.com).
He has edited various articles, which have been published in Greek and international papers and in internet and he often appears in the media, in order to present social security and labor law issues.
He is a member of the Laboratory of Social Security, Health and Welfare of Athens University (2004-today).
